Cheap Bangkok Tickets, Travel to Thailand for Less
Bangkok is a major holiday destination and airlines often offercheap tickets to Bangkok. Nearly everyone on the airplane will be have purchased a cheap ticket. Even the economy fare without discount is beyond the average budget. What you may not know is that just about everyone will have paid a different price. Someone on the airplane paid the lowest price of all which may be nearly half of what some other people paid. So how did some people get such cheap Bangkok tickets? Its surprisingly easy.
There are many travel websites these days that allow vacationers to compare airfares between the various airlines. You just enter your requirements and website produces a list of different carriers that offer flights between your nearest airport and Bangkok. Unfortunately they will only list airlines that they have an agreement to receive a commission on the sale of the tickets. So be aware that many do not list all the carriers operating your route. Some of the best of these sites who do list most if not all carriers are Airline Network, Lastminute.com, and Travelocity.
Each of these sites are a good way to find the lowest rates available online. There are other factors to remember before you make a booking which will help you get the lowest price for your family vacation to Bangkok.
One of the most important things for getting cheap Bangkok tickets is to book well in advance. The earlier the better is usually true, but not always to only factor for the cheapest airfare. A minimum of three months in advance should be sufficient to get the best rate for off-peak travel times, but we aware that prices can jump wildly from day to day and sometimes the price will come down as well as up. But the general rule of booking your travel as soon as you can is the best one to follow, unless your travel dates are extremely flexible.
Another good way to get the cheap Bangkok tickets even cheaper is to experiment with the dates. Most people take vacation on a Friday and return to work on a Monday, 2-3 weeks later. This means that the airlines can fill flights travelling on Friday, Saturday and Sunday the easiest so you can sometimes cut a significant amount of money from your travel budget by flying Monday to Thursday. If you plan to travel during the high season, then this principle can save you even more money. The peak travel season in Thailand is December 23rd to January 10th, it will be difficult to find low fares for this time of year unless you book well in advance.
Nearly all international flights to Thailand land in Bangkok. You can book straight through to other Thai cities, such as Chiang Mai or Phuket, as well, but the flight times and airline options will be limited. The websites mentioned earlier can book connecting flights from Bangkok on Thai Airways. This way your travel will be on one ticket and your luggage can be checked through to your final destination. There are several low cost airlines that provide flights within Thailand, but they only offer online ticketing through their own company websites. If you land in Bangkok and purchase tickets with a low cost carrier for your travel in Thailand, be aware that your luggage cannot be checked through from your international flight.
