Dusit Zoo

Dusit Zoo, located on Rama V road, beside the Royal Plaza and Vimanmek Mansion, is the most famous thailand zoo in Bangkok. Known as Khao Din, by Thai people, it is open daily 08.00 am to 06.00 pm. and the admission fee is 100 baht for adults and 50 baht for children.

There are hundreds of species of birds, reptiles and animals from all parts of the world. Dusit zoo is set among natural surroundings and has a large lake. The animal shows are very popular with children. There are elephant rides and paddle boats can be rented to go out on the lake. When it is time to take a break and eat, there are several restaurants serving reasonably priced Thai food throughout Dusit zoo.

The best time to go to Dusit zoo is a weekday morning. Weekends are usually busy, especially Sundays, as that is the day that most Thai parents take their children on a family outing. If you are spending time in Bangkok with your family, visit the Dusit zoo.
