Thailand National Museum
The Thailand National Museum dates back to the era of King Rama V. It was established to be a showcase for the royal collection of King Rama IV. It was originally located within the Bangkok Grand Palace compound. It was later moved to its current location. Presently there are national museums all over Thailand that hold collections of artifacts from every era during Thailand's history. For visitors and locals alike, the Thailand national museum is a place to learn all about the culture and history of Thailand. The museum is housed in six separate buildings and you can easily spend an entire day browsing through the exhibits if you are a history buff. The Thailand National Museum is easy to find. It is in the main historic section of Bangkok near the Bangkok Grand Palace and Wat Pho. The admission price is 40 baht and it is opened Wednesday through Sunday from 9:00 am until 4:00 pm.
